Urban-Air Port and AirClad announce Strategic Collaboration
Urban-Air Port picks AirClad to accelerate the commercialisation of Advanced Air Mobility
Farnborough Air Show, July 21st, 2026 Urban-Air Port (UAP), the company behind Air One, the world’s first operational public Advanced Air Mobility hub, and AirClad, specialists in advanced engineered building systems, product engineering and advanced manufacturing, today announced a strategic collaboration to accelerate the commercialisation of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).
The collaboration combines Urban-Air Port’s expertise in deployable AAM infrastructure systems and operational integration with AirClad’s strengths in product engineering and advanced manufacturing. Together, the companies will develop the next generation of affordable, product-led solutions designed to enable the rapid deployment of connected Advanced Air Mobility networks.
Urban-Air Port and AirClad share the belief that commercial AAM must launch as a network—not evolve into one. Commercial viability will be achieved through connected networks that provide sufficient destinations and flight frequency to create a compelling passenger experience and a sustainable business case from day one. Delivering those networks requires affordable, product-led solutions that can be manufactured and deployed rapidly at scale.

“Advanced Air Mobility is approaching an important milestone. As the industry moves towards commercial deployment, success will depend on solutions that can be delivered repeatedly, efficiently and affordably. Urban-Air Port has established an important benchmark through Air One, and we’re excited to combine our expertise in product engineering and advanced manufacturing with Urban-Air Port’s deployable AAM infrastructure systems and operational expertise to help enable the next phase of AAM.”
AirClad redefines architecture as a premium, scalable product. By productising the built environment, we seamlessly integrate UAP operational specifications and advanced technological infrastructure directly into our manufacturing core. This standardised production model unlocks powerful economies of scale, significantly reducing deployment lead times and capital expenditure. AirClad designs immersive, high-performance environments that elevate the UAP brand vision while ensuring frictionless global scalability. Engineered for absolute mobility; architectural innovation, deployed anywhere.
The partnership combines two technologies designed around the same principle: AAM infrastructure should be scalable, manufactured & installed, not built. Urban-Air Port’s patented Vertical Airfield architecture delivers up to a 90% smaller operational footprint than conventional vertical take-off infrastructure while significantly reducing both capital and operating costs.
Combined with AirClad’s expertise in modular engineering, advanced manufacturing and rapid deployment, the solution enables high-throughput vertiports to be produced, assembled and replicated at speed—making commercially viable AAM networks achievable from day one rather than over decades.
“Commercial AAM must launch as a network—not evolve into one. Commercial viability will be achieved through connected networks that provide sufficient destinations and flight frequency to create a compelling passenger experience and a sustainable business case from day one.
That’s why we’re partnering with AirClad. Together, we’re combining Urban-Air Port’s expertise in deployable AAM infrastructure systems and operational integration with AirClad’s strengths in product engineering and advanced manufacturing to help enable the next phase of Advanced Air Mobility.”

About Urban-Air Port
Aviation & Defence Technology | World’s most advanced, patented infrastructure for Advanced Air Mobility
Urban-Air Port is a cutting-edge aerospace, robotics, and air mobility platform driving 21st-century defence and aerospace innovation. Harnessing decades of expertise in drones, aviation, and infrastructure, it delivers unmatched solutions for global defence and aerospace markets.
Its defence-focused Pandora suit of products, unveiled at DSEI 9-12th September 2025, offers covert, portable, and automated infrastructure to support tactical frontline operations. Designed to counter aerial surveillance and strikes, it enables small units to execute complex missions with enhanced tempo and resilience.
An award-winning leader in infrastructure, Urban-Air Port develops compact landing and charging systems for sustainable air transport, including passenger and cargo VTOL air taxis and autonomous drones for civilian and defence use. Its mission is to electrify aviation by overcoming ground infrastructure limitations, creating a zero-emission ecosystem that slashes congestion and pollution in passenger, cargo, and defence transport.
Recognised as a global leader in Advanced Air Mobility, Urban-Air Port’s patented vertiport technology delivers ultra-compact, high-capacity infrastructure, transforming cities into connected, cleaner hubs for a green economic future. Its solutions are optimised for electric and hybrid VTOL aircraft, ensuring safer, quieter, and more sustainable operations compared to competitors.
The “Vertical Airfield” technology compacts conventional airfields, enabling safe electric vertical take-off and landing at height, akin to an aircraft carrier. Urban-Air Port’s vertiports are 80% smaller than alternatives, featuring modular designs for scalable expansion, maximised eVTOL throughput, and integrated energy storage for superior performance and passenger experience.
The Air-One project in Coventry, launched in April 2022 with UK Government Research and Innovation funding, marked the world’s first fully operational vertiport in a dense urban setting. It hosted over 15,000 visitors and 150 successful flights within Coventry’s complex urban airspace and airport restriction zone.
Backed by global partners like Supernal (Hyundai Motor Group) and Directors of M7 Real Estate (Oxford Properties), Urban-Air Port’s team of aeronautical engineers and aerospace experts brings experience from Airbus, Foster + Partners, Arup, BAA, McKinsey, Hyundai, Vertical Aerospace, EASA, NATS, Qatar Airways, Anduril and elite military units like US Special Forces and the British Army.
