Urban-Air Port & Supernal Strategic Partnership Unique in AAM
A year since Urban-Air Port agreed a significant uplift in valuation with its investor partners including Hyundai Motor Group & Supernal the lead investor in UAP's Series A at a valuation of $43mil - the companies reassert their strategic alliance.
“Agnostic vertiport technology and advanced infrastructure will play a foundational role in the ability of AAM to realise its true long-term potential, and we are committed to supporting development in this crucial space.”
This unique alliance established back in 2021, remains strong during this very interesting time in the Advanced Air Mobility industry. Urban-Air Port has already, since 2022, been reporting market traction with early multi-million pound orders for their innovative landing & charging vertiport technology & know-how with net operating profitability.
“We were thrilled to have closed our Series-A in August last year with formidable investor partners inc. Supernal, a Hyundai Motor Group company. This endorsement from our investors underscores the value & realism that Urban-Air Port solutions bring to the industry and the importance we play in enabling safe, efficient and commercially viable vertiport & eVTOL integration into cities around the world.
Since then we have been focused on executing on our growth plan with existing and new clients around the world and leveraging our technology for the defence market.”
The Urban-Air Port "Vertical Airfield" often described as an "on-shore aircraft carrier" by the Federal Aviation Administration, not only allows for a compact footprint saving upto 80% in real-estate and therefore associated capex costs, but also uses patented design & technology to significantly reduce the lateral extent and speed of eVTOL outwash providing a safer operational environment for these complex aircraft, personnel, passengers and communities. The resulting operational efficiency of the Urban-Air Port solution is what makes it attractive to operators.
This efficiency results in crucial operational savings, (ordinarily the biggest costs in aviation infrastructure over the long-term), by allowing for an efficient and high throughput of aircraft with minimal turnaround times, in the most compact & safe way possible.
“Through my personal investment vehicle, I have been supporting Andrea, Ricky and the team at UAP since 2022 and am so proud to have played a small role to help build their already iconic brand and technology. I look forward to leveraging my experience and long-term perspective to strengthen Urban-Air Ports’ position as one of the world’s most important AAM infrastructure providers.”
“Its no coincidence, that our investors’ patient capital and long-term investment horizon and partnership philosophy are crucial factors to our mutual alignment. On behalf of all the team at Urban-Air Port, including our extraordinary Board of Advisors, we could not be more excited about the future.”
About Urban-Air Port®
Aviation & Defence Technology | World’s most advanced, patented infrastructure for Advanced Air Mobility.
Urban-Air Port is a cutting-edge aerospace, robotics, and air mobility platform driving 21st-century defence and aerospace innovation. Harnessing decades of expertise in drones, aviation, and infrastructure, it delivers unrivalled solutions for global defence and aerospace markets.
Its defence-focused DBx-A1, launching in 2025, offers covert, portable, and automated infrastructure to support tactical frontline operations. Designed to counter aerial surveillance and strikes, it enables small units to execute complex missions with enhanced tempo and resilience.
An award-winning leader in infrastructure, Urban-Air Port develops compact landing and charging systems for sustainable air transport, including passenger and cargo VTOL air taxis and autonomous drones for civilian and defence use. Its mission is to electrify aviation by overcoming ground infrastructure limitations, creating a zero-emission ecosystem that slashes congestion and pollution in passenger, cargo, and defence transport.
Recognised as a global leader in Advanced Air Mobility, Urban-Air Port’s patented vertiport technology delivers ultra-compact, high-capacity infrastructure, transforming cities into connected, cleaner hubs for a green economic future. Its solutions are optimised for electric and hybrid VTOL aircraft, ensuring safer, quieter, and more sustainable operations compared to competitors.
The “Vertical Airfield” technology compacts conventional airfields, enabling safe electric vertical take-off and landing at height, akin to an aircraft carrier. Urban-Air Port’s vertiports are 80% smaller than alternatives, featuring modular designs for scalable expansion, maximised eVTOL throughput, and integrated energy storage for superior performance and passenger experience.
The Air-One project in Coventry, launched in April 2022 with UK Government Research and Innovation funding, marked the world’s first fully operational vertiport in a dense urban setting. It hosted over 15,000 visitors and 150 successful flights within Coventry’s complex urban airspace and airport restriction zone.
Backed by global partners like Supernal (Hyundai Motor Group) and Directors of M7 Real Estate (Oxford Properties), Urban-Air Port’s team of aeronautical engineers and aerospace experts brings experience from Airbus, Foster + Partners, Arup, BAA, McKinsey, Hyundai Motor Group, Vertical Aerospace, EASA, NATS, Qatar Airways, and elite military units like US Special Forces and the British Army.
